A note on the styles:
- The standard original design is bright and hardy, and works well in nearly every chanter it has been played in.
- The sharp design is good for pipers with flatter chanters who want to bring the pitch up.
- The quiet design, while tuning like a normal reed, is much quieter for more discreet practice and takes very little air.
